Macy has proven to be an outstanding help with several students. Rewarded for meeting goals, students spend time with Macy by walking her. Macy also loves to be read to and is at Elliott to help students learn.
Students in Ms. Dotson's classroom are learning how to treat a working dog. Having Macy in the classroom has also provided a motivator for students to complete work in order to spend time with Macy. Macy also provides fun writing activities for students.
Macy has her own mailbox and can be "checked out" by Elliott classrooms.
Macy wears a cape while working at school so she is easy to identify as a working animal.
Macy went through one year of training and had to complete two tests in order to become a working dog.
Welcome Macy to Elliot. If you have concerns or questions please contact Ms. Dotson or Dr. Currin at Elliott.
