Elliott Elementary - For Parents

Specialists

The Specialists at Elliott utilize a unique schedule that allows children to experience continuity throughout their specialized experiences. Students attend one of the four specials for an 8 - 10 day period each quarter. The days each student attends a single special are consecutive.

Specialists at Elliott are committed to providing meaningful and realitive experiences for children. They also work very hard at connecting their subject areas to other areas of the elementary curriculum and collaborating with each other. Specialists build many projects students take part in, together.

Visual Arts and Computer is taught by Rhonda Mueller. Visual Arts and Technology as a combined experience is new to Lincoln Public Schools. There are currently four schools utilizing this combination. The philosophy that guides this expereince at Elliott is that technology is another tool for creating works of art. Technology is also usedd for researching topics related to the visual arts. Technology is also used to guide practice of skills related to literacy and math.Mrs. Mueller's Web Page

One of Mrs. Mueller's favorite sites to explore with students is www.suessville.com . A great place for kids to explore is www.yahooligans.com. This site offeres research tools, games, news, jokes, arts and entertainment as well as sports information.
